  • 12/24/2006. Maintenance Update (Build 454.0):Fixed a bug in concrete beam design when the beam is too short in comparison to its depth or support widths. Added mouse wheel support for dynamic zooming.
  • 07/04/2006. Unicode Release (Build 438.0):This is our first Unicode release which gives better user interface look and feel. You will like some of the new UI enhancements such as a new command window, new spreadsheet control, input and output toolbars, zoom previous command and several useful tools (distance command, unit conversion etc.). In addition, several old bugs were identified and fixed. They are: incorrect metric ton (MT) to pound (lb) unit conversion, incorrectly splitting point loads on members under certain circumstances, not clearing design results when RC materials change.
  • 02/17/2006. Speed Enhancement (Build 400.0):This release speeds up the FEM solver and graphics engine by adopting latest compiler technology.
  • 09/06/2005. Version 2 (Build 367.7):This release implemented concrete design for beams, columns and slabs according to ACI 318-02 and -05
  • 11/06/2004. Maintenance Update (Build 342): This release fixed a bug in calculating partial line loads on beams.
  • 10/10/2004. Enhancement Release (Build 341):This release incorporated incompatible modes for general quadrilateral membrane and brick element formulations. It also included the new verification manual. In addition, a bug in calculating section properties in non-prismatic beams was identified and fixed. A minor bug in printing background color was also fixed.
  • 05/08/2004. Maintenance Update (Build 334):This update fixed a bug in calculating principal angles for shell4 principal forces and moments.
  • 03/28/2004. Enhancement Release (Build 331):This release includes mainly the addition of dynamic (frequency) analysis to the program. Other minor improvements include resizable result dialogs, more flexible commands to re-number nodes and elements.
  • 01/01/2004. Major Enhancement Release (Build 324):This release included the following major improvements. 1). changed the menu layouts. 2). added some intelligence in some spreadsheet input dialog boxes such as Sections. 3). added shadows of undeformed and deformed shapes. 4). added the option to "cross" select objects. 5). added color customization for various graphical entities. 6). added the ability to render beams in deformed shapes 7). added the calculation of Von Mises stresses for shell and brick elements. 8). Separated top and bottom stresses for shells. In addition, the following bugs have been identified and fixed. 9). Incorrect rendering of L and 2L shapes. 10). Unit conversion error occurs if analysis is aborted due to duplicate nodes. 11). Merge command may not eliminate duplicate nodes under some circumstances. 12). Explode Beam at Nodes may not work properly under some circumstances. These bugs have been fixed now.
  • 08/19/2003. Enhancement Release (Build 278):This release made the following improvements to the program: 1). removes the annoying empty document when another document is opened. 2). makes aborting a solution more responsive. 3). adds a link to the program RcSections which performs analysis and design of concrete sections.
  • 04/23/2003. Enhancement Release (Build 277):This release fixed the following bugs: 1). "Copy" command in Load Combination dialog box which incorrectly allowed a load combination name to be more than 31 characters long. 2). Contour value might be hidden by contour color. This release also added the concepts of named selection and named views, made minor changes to the toolbars so that they are more user friendly, provided more options for stress averaging, and merged manual and online help into a single PDF file.
  • 12/17/2002. Enhancement Release (Build 268):This release fixed some minor bugs related to annotation, message box. It also made minor changes to the menu layout. A nice feature of structural response animation was added also.
  • 10/04/2002. Enhancement Release (Build 262):This enhancement release significantly speeds up the graphics display for loads. It also allows you to view shear and moment diagrams on selected beams, contours on selected elements only. In addition, several minor bugs related to toolbar tips, contour display and self weight have been identified and fixed.
